What is a drill team?

A group of dentists who work together.

A drill team is a group of soldiers who practice over and over until they can march together and move their guns from side to side all at the same time, with exactly the same motions. Drill teams often perform in parades. In this context, drill means "to practice over and over." A drill is also the tool a dentist uses to make holes in teeth.

Fred and Bill were buddies in the army. They were on the same drill team, practicing their military drills side by side every morning. After they left the army, they both became dentists and continued to work together. Their clients laugh and call them their favorite "drill team".
